Baldness is a fact of life for most men. Some can live comfortably with it, others can’t – particularly if you don’t have the “right-shaped head” like Bruce Willis, telly savalas or yul Brunner. It’s also harder to cope when it happens in one’s twenties, knocking self-confidence and making it a potential barrier to securing a mate. Hair transplants are now so sophisticated that the absurd makeovers of yesteryears are just folklore. Utterly convincing results can be achieved in a relatively short time. The key is still to have relatively thick hair at the sides as this is where the replacement hair comes from.

A lot of people find bald men sexy as long as they crop close or maintain a smart “English gentleman’s” haircut. Some actors and politicians do succeed despite baldness simply through strength of character and sheer talent. Remember it’s you who will wear your body for the rest of your life.
